Terms & conditions
These terms govern your use of TradeDesk, a work-records, invoicing and National Insurance contribution service operated by National Insurance and Social Security Service (NISSS) in Barbados.
Last updated September 2026
1. What TradeDesk provides
TradeDesk is an online (software) service. Workers can log hours worked, create and send invoices and estimates, record income, expenses and mileage, view National Insurance contribution history and pay National Insurance contributions by card. Businesses can register workers, submit hours and pay contribution batches. Administrators of the National Insurance and Social Security Service can review submissions, contributions and compliance.
Accounts on TradeDesk currently carry no subscription or signup fee, and no charge applies for logging hours, invoicing, reporting or downloading your records. Card payments carry the processing fee disclosed at checkout.
2. Payments and fees
All transactions are processed and charged in Barbados Dollars (BBD). Card payments are handled by Powertranz, our payment gateway, with 3-D Secure (Visa Secure and Mastercard ID Check) authentication.
When you choose to pay a National Insurance contribution by card, a processing fee of 3.8% of the contribution amount plus BBD $1.25 per transaction is added. The fee is shown to you in full, together with the subtotal and the total to be charged, before you confirm the payment. The fee is retained by the acquiring bank and gateway; only the contribution subtotal is remitted to the National Insurance and Social Security Service.
Invoice payments made by your clients through a TradeDesk invoice link are charged in Barbados Dollars to the card presented by the payer, and are settled to the invoicing business.
TradeDesk does not take recurring or automatic card payments. Every card charge is initiated by you, for a single stated amount, at the moment you press the pay button.
3. Your account and accurate information
You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for the accuracy of the hours, income, expenses and contribution figures you record. Records submitted to the National Insurance and Social Security Service form part of your official contribution history; knowingly submitting false information may affect your benefits and may be an offence.
You must be at least 16 years old and legally entitled to work in Barbados to hold a worker account. Administrator access is assigned only by the National Insurance and Social Security Service and cannot be self-selected at signup.
4. Availability and support
We aim for continuous availability but the service may be interrupted for maintenance or by events outside our control. If a payment fails, no funds are captured and you may try again.
Customer service: (246) 431-7400 or support@nis.gov.bb, Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. AST. You can also raise a support ticket from inside your TradeDesk account.
5. Export restrictions
TradeDesk is a digital service delivered online. No physical goods are shipped and no export restrictions apply.
6. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Barbados, and the courts of Barbados have exclusive jurisdiction. Our permanent establishment is at Frank Walcott Building, Culloden Road, St. Michael, Barbados.
We may update these terms; the effective date is shown above and material changes will be notified in-app before they take effect.
