Privacy policy
TradeDesk handles your personal data in line with the Barbados Data Protection Act, 2019 and the confidentiality obligations of the National Insurance and Social Security Service.
Last updated September 2026
What we collect
Account data: your name, National Insurance number, email address, phone number and password (stored only as a salted hash).
Work and financial records you enter: hours worked, employer relationships, invoices, estimates, clients, income, expenses, mileage and contribution submissions.
Payment data: the cardholder name and email you supply at checkout, the card brand, the last four digits, the authorisation code and the amount. We never receive or store your full card number, expiry date or security code — those are transmitted directly to our gateway.
Technical data: device and browser information, IP address and audit logs of security-relevant actions.
Why we use it
To operate your account, produce your invoices and receipts, calculate and remit National Insurance contributions, notify you of contribution deadlines, prevent fraud and abuse, meet legal and audit obligations, and provide customer support.
We do not sell your data. We do not use your data for advertising or profiling.
Who we share it with
The National Insurance and Social Security Service, for contribution and benefit administration.
Our payment gateway (Powertranz) and the acquiring bank, strictly to authorise and settle a payment you initiate.
Our hosting and email delivery providers, under contract and only as needed to run the service.
Law enforcement or regulators where we are legally required to disclose.
Security
All traffic is encrypted in transit with TLS 1.2 or higher. Data at rest is encrypted. Access is restricted on a need-to-know basis with unique user accounts, role-based permissions, account lockout on repeated failed logins and audit logging. Records are visible only to the account owner and the authorised officers who need them — no user can see another user's records or notifications.
How long we keep it
Contribution and payment records are retained for the period required by National Insurance legislation and Barbados tax law. Other account data is deleted or anonymised within 12 months of your account being closed.
Your rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, and may object to processing or ask us to restrict it. Contact support@nis.gov.bb or (246) 431-7400. We respond within 30 days. Contribution records that we are legally required to retain cannot be deleted on request.
